Artist Ryan McGinley Has His Head in the Clouds

In most of Ryan McGinley’s photos, honey-limbed teens run, jump, or bounce naked through American landscapes. Here, Laura, no doubt unclothed, appears wondrously in the midst of an electric-blue thunderstorm. It’s a little Michel Gondry, a little Van Gogh. It might be the most beautiful of McGinley’s works we’ve seen. See more from his trip with vans full of teens around the U.S. last summer at Team Gallery in Soho through May 3. —Emma Pearse
