On Monday, we
jokingly suggested that Oliver Stone's upcoming Bush movie,
W, would be a comedy since, based on all
leaked evidence, it seems like it's shaping up to be the
Anchorman of presidential biopics. And now,
MTV is reporting that hilarious former
Daily Show correspondent Rob Corddry, star of such political dramas as
Blades of Glory and
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, has signed on to play White House press secretary Ari Fleischer! It's an inspired bit of casting and one that we're reasonably sure will produce side-splitting results. Who better to deliver fake news to a fake White House press pool ("We never invaded Iraq! Are you high, Helen Thomas?") before stripping to his underwear and running around the podium? Okay, now who's playing Colin Powell? Please, Oliver Stone, let it be Tracy Morgan!
