If, like us, you've always thought, hmm, Ralph Covert … tight band, rocking sound, fun lyrics, but kinda generic, listen up: His new disc has one cut that is not to be missed. It's totally derivative (of Pepper-era Beatles), quite silly, and incredibly brilliant. Turns out oompah is the perfect form for phonics, as in A-A-A-A B-B-B-B.
