In an unorthodox move for the uncultured rodents who more typically make their home at one of our city's Taco Bells, KFCs, or combination Taco Bell–KFCs, mice have infested the Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center, reports the AP. According to the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, a recent inspection of the Met turned up "evidence of mice or live mice present in facility's food and/or nonfood areas" (read: poop). We happily anticipate seeing one of the ballerinas in tonight's performance of Swan Lake getting her pointe shoe stuck in a glue trap.

Update! New York's classical critic Justin Davidson writes: "Maybe the Met could borrow the Israel Philharmonic's symphonic kitty to deal with its opera-mouse problem."
