Yep: ‘Cocaine Cowboys II: Hustlin’ With Godmother’

  • 7/25/08 at 2:30 PM

Billy Corben's relentlessly stylish documentary Cocaine Cowboys was a brash, slick celebration of the real crooks behind Florida's Miami Vice era. This sequel focuses on their nemesis: Griselda Blanco isn't just Miami's Godmother, she's so evil she comes off as a South Beach Voldemort. Responsible for the murders of more than 300 people, Blanco was epically vicious, vindictive, and rich. And she was horrible enough to make you believe that all those extreme Hollywood gangster movies are underplaying their material.
