Last November, in a post titled "We Can't Wait to Play the Ghostbusters Video Game!", we proudly declared our enthusiasm for the upcoming Ghostbusters video game, due in October. The multi-platform title will be a sequel of sorts to 1989's seminal ghost-busting comedy Ghostbusters 2 and will feature the voice-acting talents of every actor, both principal and non, in that film and its slightly superior 1984 predecessor, according to a sneak preview at Das Gamer. Every actor, that is... except for Rick Moranis.

"He made so much money off of Honey, I Shrunk The Kids that he retired," says Sierra Entertainment's Dan Borth, shattering both our hopes and dreams. "He just doesn’t want to work anymore." Amazingly, Annie Potts, Brian Doyle-Murray, and even notorious crank Bill Murray will reprise the roles that made them famous — but apparently no amount of money could lure Moranis back to his greatest-ever part as Louis Tully, the Ghostbusters' hapless accountant/lawyer. Honestly, we're not really sure how much we can possibly look forward to a Moranis-less Ghostbusters game, and, even though we didn't think it possible, we now feel even worse about going to see Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.
