Could the Wachowski siblings be about to cast Keanu Reeves as the world's stretchiest superhero in an actual honest-to-God big-screen version of Plastic-Man? So says … well, so says some German dude, who claims to have heard Joel Silver on German radio revealing that the Wachowskis' follow-up to the flash bomb that was Speed Racer will be a Plastic-Man movie. Could this possibly be true? Cinematic Happenings Under Development points out that the Wachowskis did work on a Plastic-Man script at one point, and Warner Bros. and DC Comics are trying to better exploit DC's stable of heroes. Still, this sounds dubious at best. We remain hopeful, though, because as CHUD's headline suggests, it would be nice to see Keanu Reeves stretch as an actor.
