All Artist Marilyn Perry Needs Are Some Tasty Waves
Marilyn Perry’s frothy work is capable of evoking gastronomical extremes as it brings to mind both a rocky night at sea as well as something that might be dolloped on one’s dinner plate during that once-in-a-lifetime trip to Ferran Adrià’s El Bulli. The painting is hanging amid the National Academy’s "183rd Annual: An Invitational Exhibition of Contemporary American Art," a show that's been applauded for remembering that painting is art too.
