Judging by Susan Jane Belton’s coffee habits, we suspect this painter is no loyalist: Her show at George Billis Gallery through October 4 was inspired by the varied decaying coffee cups she has strewn around her studios. A wintry Starbucks container here, a Brooklyn indie there. If the financial world continues its spiral into doom, though, the cheap deli coffee will be the only kind Belton (or any of us) will be able to afford.
