David Foster Wallace Dies at 46
Surely you've heard the sad news by now, but in case you haven't, we're sad to inform you that Infinite Jest author David Foster Wallace took his own life this weekend, hanging himself in his Claremont, California, home on Friday night. He was 46. According to his father, he'd been suffering "severe depression" for the past several months. We'll have a remembrance soon from New York book critic Sam Anderson. [NYT]
