‘Fifty Words’ Opening Postponed Owing to Stars’ Kicked Asses

According to a press release, opening night of Michael Weller's Fifty Words — the Tony winner's new play in which headliners Norbert Leo Butz and Elizabeth Marvel play a husband and wife who apparently totally beat the crap out of one another — has been postponed "due to injuries sustained this week by the two stars." The two-character show, which "includes a fair amount of physical action" and was scheduled to open this Sunday, will now debut next Wednesday "in order to give our cast time to heal properly." A publicist for the show wouldn't tell us exactly what happened (injuries were minor — there were no stitches, we guess), or the specific names of the wrestling moves Marvel used on Butz.
