Our full recap of last night's season premiere of The Office is forthcoming (OMG! JIM AND PAM! OMG!), but we couldn't wait to tell you about our other favorite part — the guest appearance from Sterling Cooper's head of television Harry Crane (portrayed on Mad Men by actor Rich Sommer). He played a classmate of Pam's at Pratt (in this interview with TV Guide, he hints that his could be a recurring role) and didn't seem uptight, philandering, or even the tiniest bit sexist! It sort of makes us wonder if all Mad Men characters might be happier on single-camera sitcoms. Surely there's room for Pete Campbell at 30 Rock, right?
