After just two weeks, Microsoft is dropping Jerry Seinfeld from its new ad campaign. PR rep Frank Shaw said this was the plan all along, as "phase two" rolls out today. He says there's "potential to do other things" with the comedian, but adds, "people would have been happier if everyone loved the ads, but this was not unexpected." Seinfeld was signed to a $10 million deal with Microsoft in August and did just two commercials for the company, officially making him the Carl Pavano of celebrity pitchmanship [Valleywag]
