U2's next release won't be out until early 2009, according to Bono. The band, which apparently has more than 50 songs in consideration for the untitled album, was originally planning on releasing it this fall but has opted to continue writing and recording. An anonymous source who has heard the songs (presumably one of Bono's neighbors) told Billboard that they were "amazing and a little out there. I hope they don't change anything." [Billboard]
