Cody S. Brothers, once a painter and now a photographer, is showing a series of gorgeous, giant photographs at Ivy Brown Gallery, through October 24. All of them are black-and-white but the gradations of grays and light are so vivid — these are works to stand in front of for a long time. They are transporting. Here, The End of the Road makes us imagine we are at the drive-in, the sort of one where you’d go to see Javier Bardem annihilate the world in No Country for Old Men.
