Can Buffy Save HBO?

She can try, we guess! Sarah Michelle Gellar has signed on to star in a half-hour show called The Wonderful Maladys, about three orphaned siblings, to be penned by The Interpreter screenwriter Charles Randolph. This is the latest in a series of power moves for HBO — including their re-upping of True Blood and the optioning of Tom Wolfe's I Am Charlotte Simmons — which we guess means they've not completely given up, at least.
