‘The Big Lebowski,’ on Ludicrous Tenth Anniversary DVD
So far, the Coen brothers’ new comedy, Burn After Reading, is getting scorched by critics, and reminding people that these supposed film gods have actually made some laughless comedy stinkers (Intolerable Cruelty, The Ladykillers). So why does everyone think they’re so hysterical? Because they made one of the funniest films of all time: The Big Lebowski, out now in a ludicrous tenth-anniversary edition packaged inside a plastic bowling ball. Burn After Reading will come and go. But, the Dude abides.
