The marquees of the theaters lining the streets off Times Square and Broadway will be dimmed for one minute at 8 p.m. tonight to salute Paul Newman. Newman first appeared on Broadway in 1953, starring in Picnic (where he met Joanne Woodward); he was nominated for a Tony for his 2003 performance in Our Town. [Reuters]
