Forget those rumors you might've heard about Milk's purported stinkiness — Hollywood Elsewhere's Jeffrey Wells has seen Gus Van Sant's new biopic and declares it "compassionate, exacting, precisely ordered and emotional in most of the right ways." Also, "I felt a genuine gayness from Sean Penn, who plays the title role of the late San Francisco supervisor Harvey Milk, that I didn't think he had in him." [Hollywood Elsewhere]
