Russell Brand has resigned from BBC Radio after being suspended and chided in Parliament for a series of controversial prank calls he made on air to actor Andrew Sachs. He seemed genuinely apologetic, saying, "I got a bit caught up in the moment and forgot that at the core of the rude comments and silly songs were the real feelings of a beloved and brilliant comic actor," although apparently if he hadn't resigned, Parliament was rumored to be considering declaring war.
