‘Spamalot’ Canned

It was announced over the weekend that January 18 will see the last-ever Broadway performance of Monty Python's Spamalot, responsible for three Tony awards and $175 million in profits over the course of its three-and-a-half-year lifespan. A decline in ticket sales was cited as the reason for the closing, probably because Claymates have lost so much money in the stock market. [NYT]
