Yep, Tina Fey Stole Another Episode of ‘SNL’
10/6/08 at 9:44 AM
As should obviously have been expected, Tina Fey dropped by this weekend to brilliantly open another episode of Saturday Night Live as Sarah Palin. And since everyone saw this coming and wondered how Fey would possibly find humor in Palin's performance at last week's V.P. debate, enough people tuned in to make Saturday's SNL the highest-rated one since last month's season premiere, which was the most-watched episode in six years (in fairness, host Anne Hathaway was also surprisingly good, as was Andy Samberg's awesome "Mark Wahlberg Talks to Animals" sketch). In fact, the numbers for this season are up almost 50 percent over last year, so if McCain loses the election, don't be surprised when Fey comes back to play Obama.
