Every once in a while, it's nice to be reminded that the American film industry isn't the only one completely out of ideas. Fox Japan and Fuji TV have announced awesome plans for a Japanese remake of Alexander Payne's 2004 wine-drinking dramedy Sideways. Currently shooting in Napa Valley, the pic will star Babel's Rinko Kikuchi and character actor Fumiyo Kohinata, who even sort of looks like a Japanese Paul Giamatti. [Variety]
