Following a production shutdown, a thrown-out pilot, charges of excessive network interference, and a "save our show" campaign launched almost a year before the series premiere, the survival prospects for Joss Whedon's Eliza Dushku–starring Dollhouse seem to get bleaker every time we hear something new. For example: Last night, Fox announced that the show — previously scheduled for Monday nights before 24 — will now air on Fridays at 9 p.m., which, as Defamer points out, is the same time slot that sent Whedon's Firefly to an early grave in 2003. Even more hilariously, Dollhouse's lead-in will be the little-watched Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which will should help to discourage any potential viewers who might've tuned in by accident. Dollhouse's re-shot pilot debuts on February 13, and its second episode will most likely be included as a bonus feature on history's shortest-ever first-season DVD.
