NBC Actually Cancels Two Shows!

There was a time (yesterday) when we thought the safest place for a low-rated show to be was NBC. While other networks have been canceling their unwatched stinkers, Ben Silverman's been ordering full seasons of his. But no more! According to The Hollywood Reporter's James Hibberd, the Peacock has axed the new Christian Slater–starring schizophrenia actioner, My Own Worst Enemy, along with year-old would-be Sex and the City heir Lipstick Jungle. Both shows have been struggling with viewers, with Enemy's low ratings partially due to the diminishing power of Heroes as a lead-in, and Lipstick's owing to the show's crappy Friday-night time slot. Since we're pretty sure NBC doesn't have anything else to run, both will presumably be replaced with dead air.
