In a display of unbelievable restraint, a television studio has for once managed to stop itself before acting on a bad idea — the CW has announced it's scrapping The Graysons, an origins show centered around Batman sidekick Robin and his circus-performing family. According to Warner Bros., the show's "concept doesn't fit the current strategy for the Batman franchise"; Variety conjectures that Christopher Nolan himself may have been the one to pull the brakes. We're thinking WB chief Jeff Robinov probably got up one morning and thought to himself, Wait … We're making a show about Robin?! [Variety]
