The Times review of The World Is What It Is, a biography of the Trinidad-born literary giant V.S. Naipaul, highlights a few choice anecdotes about the 76-year-old author, who is a legendary asshole: Naipaul making a scene at 10 Downing Street, dismissing George Lucas at Francis Ford Coppola's house, and frequenting prostitutes. But they're all trumped by this one, about Naipaul's mistress, Margaret Murray: "[She] liked to entertain Mr. Naipaul by mailing him life-size drawings 'of his erect penis, done in dark brown felt-tip; the penis wore sunglasses and a lime green cowboy hat.'"
