Despite the star power of Nathan Lane and Bill Irwin, we weren't so gung-ho about the Broadway production of Waiting for Godot. But, you know, nothing to be done. Or so we thought: We just got a press release that makes the show's existence seem worthwhile: "Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is proud to announce John Goodman (Pozzo) and David Strathairn (Lucky) will join Bill Irwin (Vladimir) and Nathan Lane (Estragon)." Yes, that cast is kind of incredible. Plus, the show opens April 30 for a limited engagement, which means Goodman will have plenty of time to prepare for that Flintstones musical.
