Jesse Rieser’s luminous, hyperstaged photograph seems to be a warning to aspiring party planners: Three people, a faux-shag rug, and a sparkling bong does not a memorable bash make. These people need to dim the lights and invite a couple of private-school brats over. Rieser is part of a group show at the brand-new Hendershot Gallery in Chelsea, through January 14.
