Samara Golden's diorama-like installation at SculptureCenter — part of this season's emerging-artist "In Practice Projects" show, curated by Sarina Basta — turns a basement nook into what appears to be the cluttered vanity of a media-obsessed eighties teenager. Upon closer inspection, though, the stereos are really concrete slabs covered with decoy printouts, the bouquet is composed of umbrellas, and the TV sets are playing surveillance footage of the viewer.
