Was American Idol producer Ken Warwick's wholesale repudiation of the entire Commonwealth of Puerto Rico in today's New York Times ("There are places that we went to — you know, to Puerto Rico — and the majority of them weren’t very good at all") motivated by a case of sour grapes? Idolator's Maura Johnston points out that last August, only 300 people showed up to Idol's San Juan auditions, which were picketed over the show's "anti-worker practices." [Idolator]
