Eminently remixable profanity user Christian Bale apologized today for his hilarious rant on the set of Terminator: Salvation, which leaked in audio form on Monday and has provided joy to millions since. "I make no excuses ... I was way out of order, I acted like a punk," he told L.A.'s Kevin and Bean morning show on KROQ, referring to the outburst as an "incredibly embarrassing meltdown." "I also appreciate you making fun of it," he says. "You know, I had it coming. Feel free to make fun of me." It's a pretty classy mea culpa, and he even finished with a few words for a certain disgraced pot-smoking swimmer: "Please, Michael Phelps — swim in the next Olympics ... So he smoked a bit of weed. Plenty of our presidents have. Do not waste that godlike talent."
