TMZ posted the image — taken by police immediately following Rihanna's reported assault before the Grammys two weeks ago — a little before 9 last night, and shortly after the LAPD issued a statement announcing an internal investigation into its unauthorized release. As Gawker notes, the leak has divided the media, with many news sources opting not to run the photo, and major ones like the New York Times and CNN ignoring the story outright. Since everyone with an Internet connection probably saw it ten hours ago, we didn't feel a need to post the picture here, but you know where to find it.
