HBO has been on a mini-roll lately. After going through a terrible post-Sopranos drought (think John From Cincinnati, think that terrible Louis C.K. sitcom), of late, subscribers have been treated to a gobsmackingly great season of Big Love and the brilliant yet brutal debut season of Eastbound & Down. And even though the latter is set to have its season finale this weekend, don't even THINK about canceling your subscription. Nikki Finke is reporting that the mastermind behind The Sopranos, one David Chase, is about to make his return to the network. Chase will be developing a mini-series called A Ribbon of Dreams, which is "about the invention of cinema and subsequent growth of the Hollywood film industry." Yes! Our only complaint? Nikki didn't take the time to make one of her charming photo-illustrations before posting the story.
