Fox has been trying for years to mount a challenge to NBC's dominance of the (relatively small) late-night Saturday time slot. So now that they've pulled the plug on MADtv, Fox is placing their bets on a Wanda Sykes–hosted talk show to put a dent in SNL's ratings. According to Sykes, "Yes, my relationship with Fox hasn’t been the best, but if Rihanna can go back to Chris Brown, I can go back to Fox."
