In what is surely the greatest casting news we've heard all week, Slumdog Millionaire star (and Vulture hero) Anil Kapoor will join 24 as a regular cast member for the upcoming eighth season. According to Variety, he'll play "a leader from the Mideast who comes to the U.S. for a peacekeeping mission." Really, though, there's no telling what sort of wacky misadventures he might get into. Will he accidentally press a button and trigger a nuclear launch? Or beat Cherry Jones to the presidential podium and start giving his own press conference? We just hope 24's writers have the sense of humor to give his character a firearm.
