Who’s Still Netflixing Crash?

We'd always assumed it was some sort of practical joke or technical glitch, but no — the reason terrible Best Picture winner Crash has been in the top position on the Netflix top 100 since its DVD release in September 2005 is because more people each week are queuing it and receiving it than any other movie. "I just assumed it was some sort of anomaly," director Paul Haggis tells the Chicago Trubune. "I have no idea why anyone went to the movie in the first place, let alone rent it. It was a little independent film, and when people started to see it, I was amazed." His false modesty does not make this any less baffling or infuriating. Who the heck is still renting this thing?
