According to HR's James Hibberd, ABC is in talks to renew Scrubs (which the network revived after NBC pulled the plug) for a ninth season, even though none of the principal cast have contracts extending beyond the current eighth season. Last year, creator Bill Lawrence had implied that he might try to keep the hospital comedy going with new doctors, since Zach Braff has already said that this is likely his last year on Scrubs (and several other less-important cast members are starring in fall pilots). Even though the possibility exists that he could return as a recurring guest, IT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. [Live Feed/HR]
