Though it couldn't hold viewers' attention in one-hour installments when Ben Silverman rebooted it on NBC last year, canceled gladiator-based game show American Gladiators is becoming a movie, for some inexplicable reason! According to former Legendary Pictures exec Scott Mednick, the optimistic, unlucky person tasked with producing this thing, "the goal is to create an action story that takes place inside the world that [Gladiators] creator Johnny [Ferraro] has created... I look forward to creating a compelling story that launches a whole new set of characters." And we look forward to never hearing about this doomed project ever again.
