Nikki Finke reports that fun-loving NBC wunderkind (and Vulture hero) Ben Silverman unexpectedly no-showed at last night's second-annual Television With a Conscience Honors, missing a party for the second time in less than four months. Sure, it sounds like it would've been lame by Silverman standards (it was held in recognition of shows that "entertained, enlightened and encouraged positive change by ... " Zzzzzz ... ) — but at the event, he would've been honored for actual contributions he's made to television (!). How many more times will that happen?

And where was he? We'd not heard about any skiing tournaments happening this week, and we're fairly certain he wasn't working. While accepting an award for FX's now-canceled 30 Days — on which he and NBC's hilarious co-chairman were both producers — Morgan Spurlock joked that "Ben Silverman couldn’t be here because he is continuing his long love affair with Nikki Finke." It reportedly got a big laugh, but, suspiciously, Nikki Finke was also missing from the ceremony.
