As if lines like "Elvis white trash / Elvis the Memphis flash / Elvis didn’t smoke hash and woulda been a sissy without Johnny Cash" weren't bad enough, Bono's fourteen-year-old poem "American David" — which was written in honor of Elvis Presley and heard for the first time on the BBC this morning — also contains the N-word, for some reason.
