Last week, Clay Aiken decided to put American Idol surprise runner-up Adam Lambert on blast, branding his performances as "contrived, awful, and slightly frightening." After he caught some flack for his critiques, he attempted to backtrack ever so slightly by posting a message on his website that said "I obviously meant it as a colorful statement to imply that I did not enjoy what I heard ... I do apologize to Adam for my colorful (and negative) choice of words. I hope he can forgive me. I imagine he doesn't give a damn!" That said, we won't believe that this beef has been entirely put to rest until the two shake hands. [E]
