Warning: Stop reading unless you've seen last week's Lost finale! On most boring TV shows, falling 200 feet down a shaft and suffering a hydrogen-bomb explosion would almost certainly sideline a character for a season or two. Not on Lost, though! EW's Michael Ausiello reports that, though Elizabeth Mitchell will be announced today as full-time cast member on ABC's upcoming V remake, her Lost character, Juliet Burke, will still, somehow, appear on an "unspecified number of episodes next season." Assuming that J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof will not make Mitchell fly all the way back to Hawaii to play blown-up pieces of a corpse, what the hell could this possibly mean? Did the bomb erase history, preventing the crash of Flight 815 and, ultimately, her death? Or did the blast simply propel her up and out of the pit to safety? We're sure Lost's crack writing staff will find a cogent way to make all this work.
