Last month, when we learned that Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus would likely see a fall, awards-season release, we facetiously inquired about the possibility of a second Oscar for Heath Ledger. Turns out Gilliam might actually push for one! "We want to be in that last third [of the year] for the Academy Awards!" said the director (who hilariously denounced similar pre-awards buzz for Ledger's role in The Dark Knight last summer). "Maybe we’ll get another award for Heath. We’re going to get as many awards as possible for him, long after he’s gone." [Times Online via Movieline]
