Former Wilco member Jay Bennett, 45, died in his sleep from unknown causes on Sunday in Urbana, Illinois. Bennett had recently filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit against his old band, shortly after announcing on his MySpace page that he needed hip-replacement surgery that insurance wouldn't cover.
