When we last left Grey's Anatomy's Dr. George O'Malley (né T.R. Knight), he was riding an elevator to heaven with Katherine Heigl following a surgery that had apparently failed to repair his bus-smashed body. But show creator Shonda Rhimes let May 14's fifth-season finale end without telling viewers — or even her actors, hilariously — whether Knight or Heigl had definitely expired. We're still not sure about Heigl, but now, multiple sources tell E's Marc Malkin that Knight won't return next fall. Not a huge surprise, since he'd reportedly walked off the set this season, and, you know, because his character's face has been demolished beyond all recognition by a bus.
