Before we were assaulted twice by the nauseating strains of Kara DioGuardi's earsore of a winner's single, "No Boundaries," we'd probably have told you that last night's American Idol finale was one of the best ones we can remember, with both surviving contestants turning in decent performances and a competition not so lopsided as it has been in recent years. Kris Allen was barely off-putting! Adam Lambert's screeching was held to a minimum! Best of all, Danny Gokey had to watch the whole thing from a seat in the Kodak Theatre, far away from any microphones. To celebrate, we fired up our copy of Microsoft Excel one final time.
