According to a blog entry Adam McKay posted on Funny or Die, American Idol producers recently extended an offer to Will Ferrell to perform during last night's two-hour season finale. However, after Ferrell and McKay submitted their pitch for the song that Will would perform, Idol producers retracted their offer. Here's a sample lyric: "This is the most wonderful song ever / Paula, this ain't lip-synching, it's real / This song is better than all Christmas carols combined / Like finding a naked lady in your Happy Meal!!!"
