Much to Your Chagrin, You’ll End Up Paying Service Fees on ‘No Service Fee Wednesdays’

In an effort to position themselves as the kinder, gentler alternative to those evil rogues over at Ticketmaster, Live Nation has been encouraging concertgoers to purchase tickets today to take advantage of their "No Service Fee Wednesdays." If you put aside for the moment the fact that tickets rarely (if ever) go on sale on a Wednesday, this seems like a pretty good deal, right? It sure does! That is, until you check your credit-card receipts and find out that they did, in fact, bury convenience charges for things like parking in the total ticket price. [CNN]
