Yesterday, ridiculous awards-distributing organization the Recording Academy, in a move designed to "ensure the awards process remains representative of the current musical landscape," eliminated the category for Best Polka Album. As you might imagine, "Weird Al" Yankovic is tweeting lividly: "Somewhere, Eddie Blazonczyk’s Versatones are weeping." [NYT]
